Bottom al right: l didn't know I could lift that much, exclairns Jerry Archer, M Sports Iris Onbf A Game Whether it was kicking a football, flipping over the parallel bars, dribbling a basketball, hitting a softball, or trying a new hold in wrestling, sports played a big part in the daily lives of Spartans. Youth football championships were taken by the Scorpions in the Junior Division in a special playoff game with the Pistons. In the Senior Division, the Titans took first, followed by the Big D's and Elks re- spectively, Miss Kay, Lee, Mr. Tom Alexander and Mrs. Betty Jory supervised the active Girls' Gymnastics in various meets with nearby schools this past year. The Youth Basketball scene was dominated by Olivera Photo and the Muffler Shop in 1971-72. All in all, this year's Spartans helped enforce the old saying, It's only a game, ...N
