EDITORIAL The theme of our annual this year is the Centennial of the discovery of gold in California. As we look back on that era we can feel the excitement and romance of the days that marked the beginning of our state. We seniors are looking ahead to our own personal search for gold in which opportunities are the treasure that lies ahead of us. Since we have been in high school there has been a world war, almost two years of peace, and now again we hear the murmurings of conflict and dissension in the world. We have been able to adapt ourselves to those changes and still keep in mind our plans and ideals for the future. If we are destined for a world of peace, we will put our plans to hap- pier use and be able to more fully contribute to another golden era whose boundary lines extend beyond our own state to include the whole world.
