I, Lawrence Armstrong, will my deferment that I was to get to a lower class member in hopes that it will do him good next year. Ambition-T o get out of the Army. Ambition-To become a social service worker. SENIOR DIARY 1fREsHM,L1.v Gosh, here we are in high school-freshmen alreadyl You know, it's sort of a funny feeling being a freshmang you're not exactly out, but you're not exact- ly in either. ' That was something of the way we felt in our first year of high school. But after the first few weeks the newness began to wear away, and we began to feel at home, even though we persisted in flying from one class to another and making too much noise. During the first semester our class was given an initiation dance in the school gym, and, much to our amazement, we didn't even have to swallow a worm or eat a raw egg. NVe freshmen returned the favor the next semester with a dance given for the sophomores at the banquet hall in the Veterans Memorial Building. Luckily enough, we weren't forced to clean the L due to the wartime re- strictions, and the sophomores never quite forgave us for that. SOPHOJIORE This year we didn't fly quite so fast to classes and talk with such loud voices. The whole year was fun, and we might add, a little more work in the in- tellectual department. lYe gave the freshmen a rip-roaring initiation party with dances, games. and good eats. The freshmen gave us their return party a few weeks later, and it was a complete success. J IINIOI1? Upper classmenl VVe're really living now! lt's certainly a wonderful feel- ing to be regarded as in completely. lVe got the year off to a fine start by giving many of the Friday night dances which proved so successful. Magazine subscriptions were also sold by members of our class during the first part of the year. A prize was awarded to Tommy lN'lcCall for selling the most subscriptions. The junior class netted two hundred dollars in this undertaking. Our junior play, China Boy , was a delightful comedy which was a suc- cess even though there were a few mishaps. A party was given for us after the play. This year has been the fullest and the most fun of all so far. SENIOR Ah-we are seniors at last. This is what we have been striving toward for four years. Our -Christmas Formal came off on December Zlst and was given at the Alpha Club, which was attractively decorated with greens and candles. During the last week in April, we presented Tomorrow Heaven which proved to be a unique play and a wonderful success. Our class this year has also been very active at the Youth Canteen. The Senior Variety show on May 31st was the first in at least four years. Everyone agreed that it was a huge success and many students pitched in and helped to put it over. After much heated debate and conversation, we came to a decision on the date of ditch-day. It was spent at the beach and was a most memorable day. And here it is graduation time, yet we have very little idea of where the years have disappeared. XYe've learned a lot in these four years, had many swell times, and we'll miss you. LENURE IIOAG - i

If you don't know whom I mean, come and ask me. Ambition-To find some college that will adapt its standards to my par- ticular case and in the end to receive a B. S. degree tflah! Hahlj I, Peggy Holland, will and bequeath my short, curly red hair to Irma Bortolazzo and my sister, Mary, hoping that they use as good a dye as I did. Ambition-To take a business course in college and become Mr. King's private secretary. I, Stan Hollister, being of sound mind and body hereby will my farming ability to Kenny Cross in hopes that he will become a successful side hill. Ambition-To start a private freight air lines that will allow me to stay in bed after falrmers' hours. I, MB. Hoover, being brainless mentally and disgusted physically, will my one and only pair of nylons to Eleanor Bailey, ho-ping they will travel as to as much fun as they did while in my care twith the nightly care of LUX that is U Ambition-To heal the weak, Bob!!
