Gln june 2, W4-1, the annual hlunior Prom was held in the Veterans Memorial liuilcling. The theme RING NLil'TLlNli'S G.'XRDliN presented opportunities lor novel effects in aquatic atmosphere. Through the wonderful cooperation of all committees it was a grand success. SOPHOQMORE CLASS ln accorclzuicc with a prececlent cstahlishecl last year, the sophomores ushered the freshmen into high school. not with the traditional initiation, hut with a dancing party and refreshments. This more democratic way of welcoming the newcomers was enjoyed hy eyeryone--especially the freshmen. Un March 24, 1944, the annual Sophomore Dance was helcl in the gym. Since this was a l'lick clance, the gym was clecoratecl with an oclrl assortment of oalcl clothes which were hung along the walls. lloys wore l.evi's, girls wore gingham. .Ks always, those who attenrlerl consiclererl the clance a huge success. The sophomore class has taken an active part in school life, sponsoring many of the lfriclay night flances, and heing well-represented on the various athletic teams.
