There were some- thing like forty-eight Freshmen, some from the country and some from junior Hfgh. We had the satisfaction of being in High School, even though we were only Freshmen. The Freshman reception was on our minds at all times. We hoped it would come and go so we could forget it, but still we feared it. But when it finally came, it wasn't so bad after all. After the reception was over we had to plan for a return party. This was given in October. After the return party was over we were ready to settle down to work with nothing to bother us. ln April we entertained the Student Body, giving a four-act scene en- titled The Three Bears, a one-act play called The Stupid Lover and two piano solos. The Freshman class this year has several promising athletes. ln basket ball, Sam Nlorehart, Clifford Gilkerson, Stanley Howerton, Lawrence Schuyler and Donovan lVlaQn were prominent men. Clifford Gilkerson and Lawrence Schuyler made letters in footballf Clifford, Sam and Lawrence are going out for base ball. Donovan was the only track man that we had.
