1975 ARI MOL L OMIRA HIGH SC HO OL LOMIRA, WISCONSIN THE BUSY MAN With deep appreciation for his services to Lomira Community Schools, we, the Senior class of 1975, dedicate this ARIMOL to Mr. Aaron Jahn. If you want to get a favor done By some obliging friend, And want a promise, safe and sure, On which you may depend, Don't go to him who always has Much leisure time to plan, But if you want your favor done, Just ask the busy man. The man with leisure never has A moment he can spare, He's always putting off until His friends are in despair. But he whose every waking hour Is crowded full of work Forgets the art of wasting time, He cannot stop to shirk. So when you want a favor done, And want it right away, Go to the man who constantly Works twenty hours a day. He'll find a moment, sure, somewhere That has no other use. And help you, while the idle man Is framing an excuse. D E D I 1 C 9 A 7 T 5 He has been a most faithful friend whose helpful hand and pleasant smile was always there to greet both students and faculty for the past twenty one years. We hope his retirement years will be healthy and happy ones. i o N ) 2 DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR Mr. Dwight York. I like, I don't like. . . are only words that at this time don't have meaning. Day after day I know your life and too, you came in my life. Different cultures, different ideas. We are every per- sons, that is important! To be only what we are. . . and don't forget we are not perfect: me first. I don't. .. I really don't know if I am a good person, with all of time one, happy face or flower in the mouth .. .1 will be only myself. 1 am sorry.. .perhaps this is not for everybody to understand but it is my nature. I have found one song that explains bet- ter my thinking: Can you hear me. I need you and I hope you feel the same Today's when I need you to stand right next me Tomorrow you might fall, yourself and then where will you be? A man is bom, but can't live if he has to move alone and he tries to look for somebody with his eyes up to the sun I will tell you the search is over, work, love, discussion frustration, and people... trouble. 1 know, I don't know.. . it is really difficult try to explain my goodbye. It will not come. Never goodbye, but see you later. I am sensitive.. . right? right! Thank you and sorry, 30 Front L-R: B. Dolfini, L. Steger, S. Bowen, D. Rose. Middle: A. Pribnow, J. Schmitt, M. Kurt and Debra “SEASONS IN THE SUN” The seasonal settings of the murals set the mood for Prom '74. At 10:30 the gym was hushed, as all eyes turned to the stage in wonderment as the court of honor began their grand march. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Queen Mary Erickson by King Leonard Beauprey. Following the coronation, court members danced as Mark Luther sang the theme song Seasons in the Sun . Such a memory will never be forgotten by the class of 1975. Leonard and Mary Randy and Julie Gary and Jean 63 KING AND QUEEN Kieth Holly WE MA Y NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN HOMECOMING —1974 HOMECOMING WEEK 1974 Our 1974 Homecoming was certainly one of the best ever at L. H. S. There were many activities and competitions conducted by the Student Council and cheerleaders throughout the week. Among them were a showcase competition, an Alumni Dance, a spirit chain competition and many more. On Thursday night the snake dance, pep rally, and bon-fire were held in preparation for Friday night's big game, in which Lomira defeated Cedar Grove, 13-0 and brought our season to an end with a 9-0 undefeated record. The week came to an end at the Homecoming dance as King Keith Adelmeyer crowned Queen Holly Buerger under the theme We May Never Pass This Way Again sung and played by the Shades of Happiness. S. student of Lomira High School, starting out on a world-wide trip to catch up on the latest happenings of her classmates of 1975. As Be a boards her plane to begin her journey, she is greeted by, who else but, the head of stewardesses of Trans World Airlines, DAWN WALDRON. As the plane leaves Switzerland, on her first leg of the journey, Bea picks up a news- paper and sees a picture of WALLY BECK who was just appointed a Supreme Court Justice, the youngest man to hold such a position. As she reads on she sees CHRIS GIESE made the U.S.A. Olympic Track Team and JULIE STEGER has won a Pulitzer Prize for her work in the field of mathematics. The plane lands in Norway, where Bea goes to visit her old friend LAURIE STEGER. Laurie is busy campaigning for the Socialist Party when Bea arrives, but they get in a good little chat before Bea is due back at the airport. She boards the plane again and is off to Liverpool, England where MARYANNE BAGLEY is stationed as a Wave in the U.S. Navy. While talking to Mary- anne, Bea learns that GLEN CHRISTIAN has discovered a new way of farming, he raises a new string of seaweed in the North Sea. Bea is off once more, headed for New York City. She decides to get her hair done at the Pink Squirrel Beauty Salon where the owner and famous hairstylist is, none other than, JIM BENTZLER. She then moves on down the street to where SHERYL BAUER owns a fashionable boutique that models her own exclusive designs. Next, Bea visits the famous Smithsonian Institute and runs across JEFF FERGUSON, a scientist there. That after- noon, she goes to see the Knicks vs. the Bucks. She sees AL BODDEN managing the Knicks, and none other than JEFF ESSERS playing for New York, who lost 121-110. Bea runs into KEITH POLSTER after the game is over and finds that he is now the press agent for (who else?) Black Oak Arkansas. In the evening Bea attends a performance at the New York Metropolitan Opera House where KAREN RHODE is a famous vocalist. In the opera house, Bea is seated next to TUTTIE SIMON who is now an Evangelist for the Billy Graham Crusades. Before leaving New York, she picks up a copy of Over-All Fashions, the popular new magazine whose co-editors are CINDY LUEDTKE and SUE RIES. Leafing through the magazine, Bea comes across an advertisement for Clairol with CINDY OWENS as the model. On the plane she is seated next to KEN WEBER, now a famous architect. They pass the time reminiscing about 'Homecoming 1974. ' The next stop for Bea is Lomira, Wisconsin. DEBRA KINDSCHUH, den mother and 4-H leader is giving Bea a party. At the party she meets DEBRA GIBEAUT and PAT PLZAK who are now both married with children of their own. At the party she also meets GARY BLOCH, LONN BOGENSCHNEIDER, JOHN GESCHKE, DEAN GUELL, and DON RIES, all dairy farmers now. On a visit to Hope Nursing Home, Bea comes across CORINA RODRIGUEZ, the head nurse there. The next stop is Piggly Wiggly, where she does some of the shopping, and here she meets LARRY ROXBURY, a demolition derby driver and JIM KOENIGS, a stockcar driver at Slinger. Walking down an aisle, Bea recognizes GARY MEIS, the superintendent for the Piggly Wiggly food store chain in Wisconsin. Bea also picks up a Fond du Lac Reporter before leaving the store. She sees quite a few of her classmates names in the paper--JUDY CASPER, known as the second Leonardo Di Vinci, living now in Italy; MIKE JACKSON, the top mechanic for the Indy 500 ; DAVID and DENNIS ADELMEYER, who are hunting for caribou in Africa; and a col- umn on advice to the lovelorn, written by ROBIN WEICHELT. Walking down the street past an auto sales garage, she decides to rent a car to run around in. On entering the store, she is greeted by LEN BEAUPREY, the fastest talking car salesman in town and MIKE SCHRAVEN, Len's top man in his auto body shop. Driving down School Street, Bea is stopped by MIKE KUECHLER, the deputy sheriff of Lomira, for speeding. Bea travels on to Theresa where she discovers TIM THOMPSON owns a bar called Tiny Tim's Tipsy Tap. Stopping in at the American Legion Hall, she watches CINDY PAMPERIN and AUDREY PRIBNOW, professional polka dancers for Bill Thull's Orchestra, performing there. Since this was Mr. Kaufman's last year as Arimol advisor, we would like to pay a special tribute to him for his 20 years of service to our organization. Working with him this year enabled us to realize the time, patience, and effort he has put into each Arimol during the past years. We are proud to have shared in his many years of devotion and many hours of sacrifice. As a final token of our appreciation, we edit this book; and in doing so, we hope that our Arimol will help recall familiar faces and scenes of Lomira High School long after our days here are past.
