Ot coursel lt automatically makes him a member ol the student council wmch as you know more or less forms the rules and regulations 'or running our school This year Elaine Tolzman leslie Klebesadel Iames Kuechler and Roger Grantman were the tortunates to represent the senior iunior sophomore and treshman classes respec ttvely Elaine was elected by this council to serve as its pres1dent Rita Schiaeter was chosen by the taculty to take care ot the school records and money Rita and Elaine represented the council at a convention in Madison on November 24 and 25 The purpose ot this meeting was to improve various conditions tn the schools ot the state It memory serves correctly a little entertainrnent in the torm ot a U ot W football game was included in the weekend The girls came back with as many new ideas as the teachers have atter their convention so 1m riediately a demerit system went into ettect to take care ot any discipline problems Students were put his plan mas carried through the tirst semester Lucky seniors emerged as victors lwhat do you sup pose they ottered as or1bes9D with the least number ot demerits and were awarded with a halt day s vacation and a halt dollar monetary remuneration T'1e main purpose of the council 1 to deal with problems that arise throughout the school year lt a aood idea to always treat the members wlth respect for it is in their hands that the decision rests a to whether r-ot Nell riave s nool parties dances after garne l-lofnecomings and what have you Our rats go oft to the n tor the fine iob they turned in this yearl 'vlr Sheski acted as chief advisor of rt 9 K4 'l F w ,Les '. c V, f 1 t V 1 K A , . 1 . l b , . . . . . h t , I 1 in charge of study halls.
