They meet each Monday night with Mr. McCann their coach, to get new information and ideas. .-ws... Yes, the students have worked hard this year with their experiments and seem to have enjoyed every day of it. What these girls do--no one reallyknows, but you can be assured that they have worlds of fun, For the past three years, the club has been fortunate in having Mrs. Dittmar as their sponsor. She has proved to be a successful leader and the Sub-Debs are proud of her. At the present there are twenty-seven enrolled in the club. Lometa boys scored 932 points and their opponents scored 646. Thirty seven games were played, and only nine were lost. Three returning were back, they were C. S. Smith, Jr., Johnnie Smith and Bob Dyer. The boys who lettered this year are: Bill Muncy, Johnnie Smith, Rayrnond Richter, C. S. Smith, Jr., Bob Dyer, Wayne Porter, Billy Gene Arms, Raymond Poe, Freddie Wittenburg and David Dannheim. The letter- men that will be back next year will be Bill Muncy, Freddie Wittenburg,Johnnie Smith, David Dannheim and Raymond Richter. Bob Dyer was high point man with 232 scores, Bill Muncy was second with 159 points, C. S. Smith, Jr. 131, Johnnie Smith 120, David Dannheim7l,Bil1yArms 48, Raymond Richter 42, Fred Wittenburg 31, Wayne Porter 19, and Raymond Poe 10. The Hornets won the Lometa annual tournament this year for the second consecutive year. They played Turnersville, Copperas Cove and Richland Springs.
