Not to the strong is the battle, Not to the swift is the race . ! . Ecclesiastes 9:11 (paraphrased) How do I love thee ' Let me count my ways. I love thee with the force of tempered steel that holds together all my frail deformities, the power of a mind grown far too strong to over- balance any weekness in my hands. I cannot give thee strength or graceful form but, just for that, my love is twice as great because it seems to thrive in desert soil and flourish in indif- ference ' s drought. I love thee with the power of my will, my mind and heart and soul, my everything, and when the spark of this frail form shall tail, then have no doubt that I shall love thee still.
