I do not know what love is. I said to my friend. My friend said nothing — I am searching for the answer, would you help me. My friend smiled — Upon seeing my friend again I explained that I was frustrated and disappointed from our previous encounter. I know that you know the answer. I demanded. My friend looked directly into my eyes and boxed my ears. I screamed, I held my ears. I cried. Finally the pain subsided. Why? My friend smiled —■ i M: :-ji ■• : r Tony Shepperd What is it! Please tell me! ' I pleaded vainly. For my friend only save me a much more radiant smile. 1 was frustrated. 1 did not want a happy smile. I needed an answer. Continuing to smile my friend rose and left. I did not understand. I now understand. When my friend boxed my ears I was in pain. It made sense to me. I expected an answer from my friend but I was too occupied with my search that I could not enjoy the smiles my friend gave me. I was astounded.
