COLLEGES AND CAREERS For the purpose of aiding students in the selection of a college or vocation, LHS. pre- sented its second annual College-Vocational Day . on November 18. All juniors and seniors went first to a general assembly in the auditor- ium. Nlr. Xlertz welcomed the guests, and Nlr. Blclicnzie outlined the purposes of the meeting and the procedure to be followed. Then Nlr. lfmet Talley, Indiana Employment Security Divis- ion representative, spoke on Occupational Trends in Indiana and the Nlid-XVest,N after which Mr. An eye to The future Douglas Myers and Mr. Richard Dylceman. L.H.S. graduates of Indiana and Purdue respect- ively, gave tips on how to choose a college. A forty-five minute period followed during which group meetings were addressed by representatives from ten different colleges and approximately twenty vocations. Then students who were inter- ested in a particular college or vocation were granted personal interviews in which they had an opportunity to discuss their own particular problems. Most students felt that they had hen- efited greatly from the meetings and interviews. Planning to attend college?
