WORK AND PLAY -- The number and variety of clubs and other extracurricular activities indi- cate that they play an important part in the life of L. H. S. There are organi- zations to suit every taste-athletic, artistic, musical, or social. As new interests arise new clubs are formed, the Projectors' Club was organized this year for boys interested in operating moving picture machines. While most clubs carried out their activities in a traditional manner, several new projects were addedg for example, Hi-Y's Aunt Jemima breakfast and the weekly noon movies sponsored by the student council. Because clubs offer so many opportunities for the exer- cise of leadership, responsibility, and initiative, they play an important role in the educational program of the school. GDDS AND ENDS - The day began for both faculty and students with a stop at the bulletin board to see whether anything outside the regular routine had been scheduled. If no special event interrupted, students passed the time from 8:25 to 11:25 in their regular three periods of fifty-five minutes each. After the lunch hour rush, classes were resumed at 12:35 and continued until 3:35. Then students left the building unless some extracurricular activity claimed them, or some irregularity kept them in Room 122. By a few minutes after four the building was left to the custodians, to be made ready for another day. Routine check L.H.S. housekeepers Mail coll!
