FORMS AND BOOKS A number of other cards in use about the school are more familiar to students than the permanent record card. Those shown below are a few of several in use for admin- istrative purposes. Any student who has been absent must obtain an admit to class from one of the deans. A utardy slip,', which is handed a student who enters a classroom or study hall late, is usually accompanied by a Q'7th period assignment slip, which somewhat prolongs the school day. lVIuch more welcome are the passes which give entree to the library, where the student may browse quietly through books and magazines or do serious study in connection with a class assignment. Students who wish to use the library sign a card indicating their willingness to use the materials prop- erly. Passes for pleasure reading are issued only to those whose classwork is being done to the satisfaction of their teachers.
