Q I Q fm-,f J H FOREWORD Nineteen sixty-one will be remembered by many of us for differ- ent reasons, To the seniors it will mark the time when l. o g a n's largest class was grad- uated. To the eleventh grade it will be the year they began to take important positions in the various activities at Logan. To the tenth grade it will be red- l e t t e r year because they e n t e r e d senior high school. All of us will re- member our classes and profit by the knowledge we gained, But we shall also re- member the good times we had enjoying the many leisure time ac- tiyities. This year our annual depicts our teachers, classes, fellow students and recreational oppor- tunities, so that in the future we may re-live a part of the year 1961. The council, with the help of its advisor Mr. Raymond Sauer, carry on many activities that benefit Logan's student body. Each year the council produces a stu- dent directory, co-operates with the Pep Club for the Fall Festival, presents the annual prom, sells concession at all home football and basketball games, and makes rulings that have a direct bearing to the Logan students. President Kenny Anderson presides over the meetings which are held during home- room each Thursday. Every homeroom has a representative which presents their inter- ests and the senior homeroom has seven rep- resentatives. The Student Council elections are held each spring. The student body is divided into two parties for the primary elec- tion and the final election is a week later. Club teaches Neatness and practicality The qualities and good habits that an efficient secretary must have are many, and all are necessary for true success. To teach a group of girls more than the fundamentals of a secretary's job requires extra work out- side of class. The rnain purpose of the Busi- ness Education Club is to provide the extra knowledge needed for efficient business work. This organization is made up of about thirty-five girls from the junior and senior classes who are taking a business course. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. During these meetings field trips are taken, skits are performed, and par- ties are held. The club's advisor, Mrs. Helen Carson, also finds other activities. The club sees several interesting films each year, and once or twice an office worker speaks to the group. All these activities teach valuable ideas which might be missed in class. They add up to learning in an enjoyable way. Row Two: Kay Durden, Marguerite Jones, Charlene Notz, Sue Schmuck, Jean Schnick, Mary Ann Whiteagle, Rita Riniker. The boys display their skill by setting up public address systems tor basketball games and dances, keeping movie projectors and other sound equipment in good repair, and taking care ot timekeeping and the scorekeeping tor B squad basketball games. The stage crew are the boys behind the scenes who operate the mechanical devices for all ot our assemblies. The boys work afternoons and evenings, under the direction ot Mr. Krumel, building sets, painting scenery, and producing special lighting ettects for assem- blies.
