Ed Stark and Gary Ware have routine and are rapidly climbing tin and Lewis sensation. The former Marlene Snyder for rivals of Logan. lt must be Wildcats. Roger Schultz after many teamed up in a dance and comedy to success, known as the new Mar- is engaged in a re-stock project rather difficult handling so many years of hlt and misn romancins finally decided to stop the nonsense and married her. We've heard that she hasn't returned his ring for five years now. Karen Russ who was planning to be a nurse ls glvlng more than medical attention to a family of School sweethearts. four boys and one of her old High Roger Wallgren has been very successful in building the Wall- gren farm into a first class dairy. He also acquired plenty of little helpers. Dan Kelllng is now planning his campaign for State Senator since his high school days he has shown great interest in poli- tics. He took a big step forward when he introduced his new farm policy program to Secretary Benson. Joyce McClellan has surprised everyone by throwing away her private secretary career and eloping with her boss. Darrel Becker continued to improve his style of basketball and for some time has been playing pro ball for the Minneapolis Lakers. Agnes Brasted has at last satisfied her life long ambition. She is now the owner of one of Montana. Randall Demuth not only is the largest cattle ranches in a world famous newspaper critic but also has recently been asked to take over as M.C. on the Ed Sullivan show next summer. Margie Weigant has finally has achelved great fame as an nFlamingo Innn at Reno, Nevada. revealed her hidden talents, and entertainer at the world famous Delbert Brunlng has turned big time in the entertainment world. He is the owner and operator of the famed NFlamingo lnn.n He keeps trying to persuade his star performer to quit show busi- ness and marry him. John Veh is now ln partnership with his brother in the groc- ery store. He had the reputation of grinding the best sausage this side of the Mississippi River. Pat Cook is still undecided as to whether she wants to set- tle for a Navy Career or play the field. Kathleen Ferguson reports that life on the farm is THE life. Arden Miller with hls mellow trombone has created a style all his own in music for Lovers Only. Carol Fox is Still Furnishing the car, not for just one Stanton now though, but for six others of their own. After graduating from Barber School Roy Slansky went into business for himself and brought into popularity his old-time favorite from Logan High days, the Mr. America hair cut. Johnny Smith is reaching golden fame in the world of motion pictures. He ls thought to be the most provocative star since Marlon Brando. Darrell Stanton finds it awfully hard to spend even the summer away from Carol and the kids, while he catches for the Kansas City Athletics. Bob Hooper who never had to exert much energy in order to give a top notch performance on stage, has made it his profess- ion. He ls responsible for the rebirth of old fashioned mello- dramas. Delva Damewood is a patient bonnie lassie waiting on the shore for her bonnle laddie sailor. Leland Griffin is now employed by the KU Lyceum programs and is known as the Trave1ing Troubador. He is always un- animously chosen to serenade the Loganites. Phil McCollum Couldnlt decide on which of his many talents to concentrate so he combines two of them and is now famous as the singing--pitcher for the New York Yankees. While on the mound striking men out, D6 also gives out with a sweet rendition of the latest love song. Alice Rrssberg after many studlous years has finally decided to make up for lost time. She now has a family of eight boys and six girls. I7 'ff l ISTQl2Y ., C Q aaadace 4 As Freshman we were probably as green and awkward as most any other freshman class when starting high school. For initation, we were instructed to dress as comic characters. Roger Schultz and Marge Hancock won the best dressed prlze,dressed as Daisy Mae and Lil Abner. Class officers were as follows: President, Leland Griffin, Vice Pres- ident, Roger Schultz, Treasurer, Alice Forssberg, and Student Council Representative, Bob Hooper. The members of the Freshmen class were, Darrel Becker, Agnes Brasted, lvan Brasted, Patricia Brault, Gerald Bretton, Dalbert Bruning, Patricia Cook, Randall Demuth, Alice Forssberg, Carol Fox, Leland Grlffln, Margaret Hancock, Robert Hooper, Dannv Helllng, Joyce McClellan, Phil McCollum, Arden Mlllerg Eugene Owens, Lola Post, Kathleen Purnell, Patricia schlczf. Heder -lfrhvlill Roy Slansky, Johnny Smith, Marlene Snyder, Darrell Stanton, Edwin Stark, Roger Wallgren, Gary Ware, and Margie Weigant. In the fall of 53 we took our next stop ln Hlgh School,we entered the Halls of L. H. S. as Soph0m0F9S- We lost one.Student that year, Patricia Brault. She moved to Norton with her parents. The class officers this year were: President, Roger Schultz, Vice Pres., Ed Stark, Sec. Alice Forssberg, Treasurer, Leland Grlffln and Student Council, Bob Hooper. Class sponsors were Miss Webber and Mr. Beck. The activities of the Class were,a hayrlde, and servlng at the Jr. and Sr. Banquet and Alumni Banquet. At last lt happened. We were upper classmen. Coming into our Jr. year we lost Dick Bretton,and Margaret Hancock, but we also gained two new students, Karen Russ and Delva Damewood, giving us a total enroll- ment of 27. Class officers were: President, Roger Schultz, Vice Pres- ldent, Ed Stark, Secretary, Alice Forssberg, Treasurer, Karen Russ and Student Council Representative, Bob Hooper. Sponsors were: Mlss Babcock and Mr. Dugas. The Jr. Sr. Banquet was our main PFOJQCP for the year, the theme we chose for the banquet was Gay Parle. Durinq the year we presented l class play. nTen Nights ln a Barroom.U Also we had a party at Marthas Cafe, ln honor of the play cast of nTen Nights in a Barroom.n Finally after 3 years we made it to our Senlor year. Coming IHIQ Senior Year we lost Eugene Owens and Ivan Brasted, but we again gained another student, John Veh. We presented the play nArsenic and Old Lacen, directed by Mr. Cornwell and Miss Landwehr. Class officers for our Senior year were: President, Ed Stark, Vice President, Phll McCollum, Secretary, Joyce McClellan, Treasurer, Pat Cook, and Student Council Representative, Bob Hooper. L Q - 1? We, the Senior Class of 1956, will our ambitions to the incoming freshman, our ability to do anything to the freshman, our intelligence to the Sqhomores and the smooth wav we organize things to the Juniors. I, Carol Fox, will my ability to obtain and drlve the family car to the Jakubowski girls and my favorite chair in Stanton's home back to Echo. i, Darrell Stanton, will my catching ability to Larry Ford only please use lt for catching baseballs instead of hmk from the teachers. I, Margie Welgant, will my slim stature to Jay Cornwell and my pleasing personality to Judy Lafferty. I, Gary Ware, will my ability to leave my football jersey at home when going to another town to Gary Foster. I, Joyce McClellan, will my ability to miss school to the Voss girls and my ability to make npecan puffn cookies to June Rundle. 1, Roy Slansky, will my tremendous speed to Jerome Petzold. I, Ed Stark, will my undisputed championship for getting out of school to get a haircut to Richard Hofaker, l, Kathleen Ferguson, will my quiet manner to Don Maley and my height to Mary Lynch. The three games lost were all to teams which ranked first in their respedb ive conferences. In the C.N.W.K.A.L. League the Logan eleven took second place, the highest that any team has achieved ln recent years. The Trojans gained the respect and enthusiasm of all the followers wit their spirited play. The largest crowd in Trojan history viewed the final game of the season when they lost a heartbreaking 7-O decision to a heavily favored Almena team. Because of their play during the season, several of the players received individual honors in belng selected on both the All-Area Team and All-League Team.
