Class Prophecy It is now the fourteenth day of May,l963, at the well beloved alma mater, Logan High The class of '53 and their families are having a dinner together after being apart these ten years I, Don Hutchinson, acting as master of ceremonies at this reunion, am happy to keep you posted on the arrivals and what each has been do ing since graduation in 1953 Some of the guests already here are Pat Richardson, Johnita Forss berg, and Jim Hicks Pat who couldn't find enough to keep her busy at home now owns and flies Logan's only air taxi, the first in the county Johnita is now at Larned where she is head therapist for the mentaL ly retarded Anytime you are in Oklahoma you will hear the name Jim Hicks spoken with the highest respect He has started an exclusive sect who spend their time peelin' pine posts Coming in the door now is Frances Lynch who is a famous novelist with fifteen books to her credit She also has an international family of ten adopted children from as many different countries Iow arriving are Joan Bailey, Dorothy Schurz, Mary Ann Ware, an Mary Del Higgins Joan has made a name for herself as a writer of lovelorn col mn for the Hearst Syndicate She employs Dorothy Schurz to answer all the personal mail Mary Ann whose life ambition was to keep house in a trailer can now be found living in a new twelve room house to accommodate her family f three sets of twins and one single Boon after graduation Mary Del began working in Yeo's Variety Store and faithfully waited for Darrel Stanton to graduate She has continued working there after her marriage to support him low arriving we see Kenny Bundle and Larry Sullivan Kenny can be found right outside the city limits of Densmore where h runs his own band there He specializes in solos on the ocarina and the Jew's harp Coming in the door now are Fayetta Ray, Phyllis Breese, and Janice McClellan Fayetta surprised us all as well as herself and has become a well known artist She has an exhibit now showing in the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York Phyllis is still living in Logan where she is teaching commerce in Logan High Phyllis spends her spare time making little shirts and dresses' which she gives to Mary Ann Janice is man ager of a group of ice skating artists who are featured in the Icy Follies W Janice arranges all the routines I now see Vivian Pears, Hazel McCue, Iva Mae McClurg,Peggy Wallgren and Ella Baker coming through the doors Vivian, whose name is quite frequently heard on the radio, is a referee at ladies wrestling matches Right beside her is Peggy who is now a champion lady wrestler with Ring ling Brothers Circus She often runs into Vivian in her travels Hazel has become very dignified and reserved She is confidential secretary for her old history teacher, Mr Morris, who is the first Democratic governor of Kansas in years Ella has achieved fame as a lady tobacco auctioneer in Raleigh, North Carolina She has acquired quite an accent also Iva Mae, one of the quiet girls in our class, surprised us all by becoming a famous O .n d . a 6 .e bulinesl, nRundle's Rough and Rowdy Roadhouse.n Larry leads the dance ' u -
