Sensor Class Hlstory As freshmen,the Class of 'SOwas as green as they come with everyone wondering what to do next Initiation day the class was required to wear their clothes backward and wrong side out The class sponsor was Miss Iarie Griffin Twenty two boys and girls enrolled in the class at the beginning of the year They were as follows Dee Bushnell, Ralph Dawes, Queth Fawver, Junior Hickman, Leonard Hofaker, Jim Kline, Walter Long, Deloras Haley, Leona McClurg, Franklin McCollum, Lois Jean Paramore, Betty Jean Pfannkuch, Earl Post, Ernest Richardson, George Ruff, Robert Schneider, Maxine Stanton, Ferma Snyder, Evelyn Tr1sler,Marg1e Wallgren, Thelma Wallgren, and Ludella Young During the first semester two members of the class moved away Jim Kline to Almena and Betty Jean Pfannkuch to Colorado Our sophomore year we were settling down to the grind ofhigh school work The year was rather uneventful as we were still underclassmen I had numerous parties and plenty of fun Miss Webber was our sponsor This was also our last year under Mr Seaman We were asked by the juniors to serve the junior senior banquet, dressed in western style The enrollment was the same with the exception of Betty Pfannkuch, Leonard Hofaker, and Junior Hickman Bud Pears had also joined us Our junior year was the most exciting year mafar Like every junior class we looked forward to many things Our sponsors were Miss Babcock and Mr Taylor The class consisted of seventeen members Franklin McCollum, pres , Lois Paramore, vice pres George Ruff, reporter, Ernest Richardson, McClurg, Thelma Wallgren, Ferma Sn der, Queth Fawver, Maxine Stanton, Ludella States, Ralph Dawes, Bethel Pears, and Robert Schneider The juniors took part in many activities during the year, such as the boys in athletics, football queen, scholastic events, members on the paper and annual staff, vocal music, and band 'Bett Jane from Punkin' Lane was presented Dec 15 We chose 'The North Pole as the theme for the junior senior banquet This was the biggest event of the year aside from knowing that if you studied well that next year we would be 'seniors' By the senior year, we had lost Lola Paramore, Qneth Fawver, Ernest Richardson, and Ralph Dawes,leavlng an enrollment of five boys and eight girls Our sponsor was lr Veatch The officers for the year were elected as follows pres , Franklin lcCollum,v1ce pres ,Thelma lallgren,sec treas ,Ludella States,reporter, laxine Stanton, and Student Council representative, George Ruff lalter Long returned and finished his high school work with the class The senior play, 'Grandad Steps 0ut,' was presented November 18 and l9,l9L9 The whole class participated in the play The cash receipts were the largest in the history of the school according to reports Four seniors represented the school in the spelling team of five members Four senior soloists also represented their schoolst the county music festival at Phillipsburg Our activities during the year were many At the time of this writ ing we were looking forward to the last semester, the junior senior ban quet, graduation, and the senior trip I I . . e - ,Q ' secretary-treasurer, Margie Wallgren,Evelyn Tr1sler,Deloras Maley, Leona y ' . .
