A. R. MARUSHI, PRINCIPAL As you, the students of Logan High School look with excitement at your plans for the future, do not become alarmed nor overcome by all the changes in your surroundings. Rather, you must realize that while change is inevitable, all human needs remain the same. You must look beneath these changes for a standing in influence, for something to believe in, and for someone to depend upon, if you are to satisfy your individual needs. You need to seek the old-fashioned virtues of honesty, morality, respect for authority, patriotism, and individual res- ponsibility. All of these are fostered and can be found in your relationship with your fellow students, your teachers, your community and your family. You must accept and enjoy the technivues and approaches to new ideas but must not lose that part OE the old, the tried, and the true These are needed to help you build wofthwhilc values and :ttitudcs for the future, if you hope to have the stability to face the even greater changes that lie ahead in the patterns of the future culture. 9
