Mrs. Anne Maynard, Dean of Girls and Guidance Director. has served thirteen years as dean. She attended the N. C. A. Work Shop in Chicago where she learned of the plans for the A. L. group at L. H. 8. She received her M. S. degree from Marshall College, her major being in guidance and counseling. She is past president of the W. Va. Guidance Association. Mrs. Maynard is always busy helping students with personal, college or work problems. Deans Amway wmmg Adam Mr. Charles B. Harris, Dean of Boys, was born in Wytheville, Virginia, but has lived in West Virginia since he was old enough to attend school. After graduation from Big Creek High School of War, West Virginia, he at- tended Concord College and received his A. B. and M. A. degrees from W. Virginia University. This is his first year as dean although he has taught three years at L. H. 5. Mr. Harris enjoys fishing and traveling and was last year's Here's How sponsor.

Our Office Personnel Whenever we need information we have discovered the best place to go get what we need is to Mrs. Browning, the school secretary. She spends a lot of time keeping records straight. Mrs. Burgess takes care of the money for all of us. This is no easy iob in a school the size of ours. All money goes into her office and our records must tally with hers. They also take care of a large number of banquets that are held in the school cafe- teria for both the school and the general public. Mrs. Piros, Mrs. Varacalli, Mrs. Stone, and Mrs. Gore.
