V-f D c!'b W 'M' eims are stu ents es! friends, severest critics. Anne H. Maynard, who is dean of girls and guidance director, is a busy person. Her duties include testing students, writ- ing college recommendations, procuring jobs for seniors, and dealing with per- sonality problems. Last fall she attended the conference of the W. Va. Associa- tion for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She is a member of the National Association of Deans of Women and the W. Va. Guidance Association, of which she is a past president. William von Pechy, dean of boys, has done an outstanding job this year, get- ting things organized in a new building. He has been here, there, and every- where, dealing with disciplinary prob- lems, giving academic guidance and counseling, encouraging disheartened boys to stay in school and take advan- tage of their educational opportunities, conferring with parents about problems, and taking a hand in many outside ac- tivities.
