Current Events Tragedies One of the major tragedies was the wreck of Air Florida's Flight 90 to Tempo. The cotostrophe happened in Washington DC. There were 70 passengers aboard. The plane slammed into a crowded bridge, smoshed five cars and a truck, and then skidded into the frozen Potomoc River. Commuters watched os the plane sunk.
