COOKS Delicious odors filter through the air. Mouths water, stomachs growl, and all eyes fix upon the clock. At the signal of the bell, the mad dash for the cafeteria begins. Who makes this daily drama happen? None other than the great cooks at Logan High. Judging from the length of the lunch line, the cooks manage to please almost everyone. The cook crew consists of: Leah Humphries. Aileen Preece. Lorna Nicholls. Agatha Allen, Paula Unland. Violet Larsen. Rachel Dahle. Elima Haderlie, and Neta Allen. CUSTODIANS How would you like to sweep the hails of Logan High? If you took this task upon yourself, you would have to plow through discarded notebook paper, torn down posters, candy wrappers, and even wet. sticky, spilled things. Well, this constitutes only a small part of the custodians’ job. They must also vacuum our littered lounge and take care of the extensive school grounds. COUNSELORS Some people think that counseloi exist only to punish for bad behavior an help kids who have a lot of problems. But the counselors at Logan High do much more than this. In recent years the counseling department places more emphasis on the development of career guidance. This year the counselors try out a program involving sophomores and career guidance. In addition, they administer and interpret tests, including college entrance examinations. to all grade levels. The counselors keep busy because they must handle registration, class changes, and individual meetings with students in addition to performing these special services. Their many services help students to achieve their future goals. SECRETARIES Mrs. Rhea Wallontine Counselor If you went to this university you'd certainly meet a lot of girls! Mr. Lynn Poulsen Counselor Just wait until Principal Miller hears about this' Can you tell me why your son did not attend his first hour today? If your mother ever had to tell the attendance secretary that you slept in. then you already know about one of the secretaries' jobs. They also take charge of those request for student cards that get you out of a dull class. They must keep a record of the money spent and received by the school. This includes writing requisitions and receipts. So keep your eyes open next time you go into the office. You may see some people who work harder at school than you do!
