MUSIC What does music involve? It involves practice, mostly. L.ong. hard, tiring hours of practice, lead up to a grand performance. What do Logan High vocal, orchestra, and band students do this year? They practice. The Chauntaires drill parts, for every person must sing the right note or ruin the total effect. Stage Band members listen to their own instruments. Then they listen to the instruments of the whole group They make sure the blend of tones reaches perfection The Orchestra trains their eyes to watch every note. They train their fingers to hit the right place at the right time. All three groups work to paint a perfect picture of sound, so that the total work of art may be displayed to a concert audience. Mr. Eugene Tueller Vocal Music Mr. Tom Nelson Band Mr. Ray Haslam Orchestra C mon taires—hold that note out for just sixteen more counts! Hit an E for me. will ya? Mr Max Cooley Library Science Mrs. Sandra Porter Library Science Way to go hot-shot' Mrs. Dorothy Maughan Resource Room IMC Instructional Media Center workers search every student before allowing him to leave. A secret system designed to prevent the theft of books solves the mystery of the disappearing media. To get students ready for college, the IMC adds history, science, and technology encyclopedias to the reference books. They also acquire new cassette listening equipment. A lot of hard work makes the IMC a great place to learn. RESOURCE ROOM Mr. Eliot Brunson Photography Students needing extra help in English, history, math, or science attend the resource room for the subjects they need special work in They go into the other classrooms for most of their classes. PHOTOGRAPHY How can you take a candid1' picture when people either hide their faces, act silly, or display their biggest grins whenever they see an aimed camera?
