RICHARD JENSEN Social Science When most people think of Social Studies, thoughts of Alexander Hamilton, how many mountains in Peru, and what is George Washington famous for, fill the mind. This year proved different as students chose most subjects for themselves. Eighteen year old vote, abortion, election, almost anything was discussed. mathematics Once again the Math Department obtained its main goal—to thoroughly confuse the students. Geometry introduced students to proofs, theorems, postulates and other such puzzling ideas. Only the brain children of the school moved up to Senior Math. Other classes included Functional and General Math, Algebra and Advanced Algebra. ok smart ! MR. This program enabled students to seek advice on which classes would best prepare them for certain careers. MR. ELLOT BRUNSON Photography photOQRAphy Visitors to Logan High this yeor noticed a group of real strangers roaming the halls, peeking around corners, leaping out from behind garbage cans. No it wasn't a circus assembly but Logan High's own photography students. special ed. The Special Education Program, designed to enable the Special Education students to prepare for the working world, also served in tutoring these students with their other classes and provided a good atmosphere for social development. JOHN ORTON Distributive Education dlStRIBUtlVe education Under the direction of Mr. John Orton, the Distributive Education students enjoyed many outstanding experiences this year including a Western Regional D E C A Conference and a state contest held in Salt Lake City. Library science Changing from a library to an Instructional Media Center involves a lot of hard work. The IMC Staff cataloged and inventoried nonbooks, and added new filmstrips and cassettes, proving that the IMC is certainly deserving of its new title. MR. MAX COOLEY Library Science MRS.
