ppincipals As principal, Mr. Miller feels that the studentbody has accepted more responsibility both collectively and individually in making the most of their educational opportunities. Student acheivement and accomplishments have been marked with excellence. He stated that the combined dedication and support of the faculty. Superintendent, and the Board of Education has certainly added to our New Direction in making Logan High the finest student-centered institution in the country. A change in the Logan High administration resulted in our new vice principal, Mr. Poole. He has exhibited enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the welfare of the students. Experience in many aspects of student life including coaching, counseling, and teaching, has given him a broad background in dealing with the problems and activities of the students. He expresses a desire that we continue to uphold the traditions and excellence that Logan High has been known for. 13

Their interest and concern for the betterment of Logan High has been greatly appreciated by the students and faculty. The Board's approval for the Chauntaires1 trip to Hawaii and the new dress code demonstrated their cooperation and support of Logan High. MR. MAX ALLEN Spanish enqLish Panel discussions, Julius Ceaesar, gerunds, verbs, movies and book reports all bring to mind the English Department. Once again the English Department offered a variety of classes to meet the needs of Logan High students. Composition grammar, and vocabulary helped students in achieving meaningful communication. Where would we be without our fearless English crew to constantly correct us and teach us how to talk? Thanks go to those hard working teachers who spent so much time teaching us correct English. Madrid es la ciudad mas importante en Espana. LanQuages Many old and ordinary things in the language department took on a new light as the language teachers strove to make their classes more meaningful and interesting. These efforts included special speakers, films, tapes, parties and numerous other activities. Dedicated teachers not only taught the languages of the different countries, but also their cultures and customs.
