LOGAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL AMPHION 1 9 6 5 Published by the ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF LOGAN HIGH SCHOOL Logan, Utah Ruth Thompson, Editor Jeanne Taylor, Associate Editor Kathy Lindquist, Business Manager Maynard Gunter, Advisor Steed's Printing Plate Co., composition J.P. Smith Son, printing Hobson Studio, photography Dedication MRS. MAYNARD GUNTER I SHALL NOT PASS THIS WAY AGAIN Through this toilsome world, alas. Once and only once I pass; If a kindness I may show. If a good deed I may do To a suffering fellow man, Let me do it while I can. No delay for it is plain I shall not pass this way again. — Unknown author 2 School History The history of our school actoolly begins with the students and faculty of Brigham Young College. It was not until 1927 that our picturesque campus - renowned for its beautiful trees and unique setting - became the home of Logan High students. Since that time, many changes have taken place. The old swimming pool used to be located under Room 1, with basketball and gymnastic events taking place in our present cafeteria. In 1936 our present gymnasium was dedicated. During the 1962-63 school year, our new building was completed. In 1952 the school colors were changed from maroon and white to crimson and gold. We are proud of our campus - its beauty - its traditions - and the outstanding students, citizens, and leaders it has produced throughout the years. There are the solemn, almost sacred moments when the lighted L stands out agoinst the black of the night ond when the tribute to the lighted L , Logan High, and Logan High students breaks through the stillness into the hearts ond memories of all. Tradition, too, is the roaring bonfire as it leaps to the sky. The skits, serious, satirical, and sometimes ludicrous— each adding impetus to the fervor of the occosion--are also part of the ceremony. But tradition is most greatly revealed among the vivid autumn tones as the crimson and gold uniformed players struggle on the grid-iron to bring victory to the frenzied, excited rooters in the stands. The climax of the week is the traditional L ball in the crimson and gold crepe paper decorations. 18 AT LOGAN HIGH 19 CAST Felix Ducotel . . Emi lie Ducotel Marie Louise Ducotel Mme. Parole .
