They have established two events which will become annual affairs at the Logan High School. The dedication services and parents' day on November 30, was sponsored by the faculty. Each teacher contributed valuable assistance in its success. The art exhibit was an extremely educa- tional event put over for the public as well as the students. This was sponsored by the fac- ulty with special thanks to Mr. Williams, head of the Art Department, and other artists of Utah. Through the cooperation of the faculty many of the difficulties which confront a stu- dent body have been successfully solved. - V ,ff .4 EL! --. fvzwt ,. .ffi 1 -18, CLASSES EU Q9 KW F 1 -- 7 V Zfxfffdfdlf f-:Wake f wk- ' ,JL pa- M ' Q' 4 1 WV J FJ .1 'lf XX Kill. The features of the annual f'Girls' Day held on May ll, were the assembly in the afternoon, and a dance in the evening. A unique program and bows were outstanding in the assembly. May was the day designated as Girls Day. The assembly in the afternoon proved to be enjoyable and en- tertaining. The bows and summer dresses worn by the girls were attractive and colorful. One of the most interesting features was the assembly. Many different contests were conducted, art, singing, whistling, extem- poraneous speaking, cracker eating and others. Much enthusiasm and competition was shown by the various classes. Early in the day the juniors and Seniors had a tug of war over the canal. There was much struggling on both sides and finally after breaking two ropes, the Seniors pulled the juniors through the canal. In the afternoon the students reassembled on the crimson held to conduct the track meet, the Seniors carrying the honors in that too. At tive-thirty the annual Nl. banquet was held at the Blue- hird, those there included the board, faculty, letter men, student body officers, and official winners of awards, The closing feature of the day was the Grand Carnival held in the gym. lt was decorated in black and white checker board. All the students were lured by the beautiful costumes, bewitching girls, serpentine, confetti, balloons. ice cream. candy and all other entrancing things into the most gay, and happy time of the year. Although We were forced to forfeit our state championship chances to Preston, we nnished at the top of the percentage column in the Cache division and won four out of six games played, tying one and loosing one. The season started with a victory over South Cache after a hard battle on a water soaked held. One of our hardest fought games and most decisive victory 'was with Preston, this game was forfeited however, on account of a mixup declaring one of our players ineligible, Two important achievements of the football team were the victory over Pocatello High and the hard fought battle to tie with East Side High of Salt Lake, lncidentally it is the first time we have ever averted defeat from either of these 'two teams. The outstanding stars on the gridiron were Kowallis, Dunford, Bennion, Scholes, Eames, Shepard and Packer. ,gg-. MQ W' r lfflfll. ' 4 77 WA f rf M V ltlywv 1 . ruff .VY ,, ff! On February 29th the girls sponsored a Leap Year Dance which was so successful that it will be an annual affair. There are several events that will be held soon. a swimming meet for girls in the A. C. pool, interclass basketball series. held the second week in April, and following these tennis, track and baseball series. Recognition will be given by the school to the girl or girls who earn the highest number of points in these series. This is a step higher in athletics for the girls and our hope is that it will increase every year as it has this.
