VOLLEYBALL The girl's volleyball team's primary improvement over last year's team was their teamwork both offensively and defensively. They put it together and played as a team. Their serves were stronger, and basic skills were well executed. The best match of the season for the varsity team was their match against Chillicothe in the final round of the Sectional Tournament at Chillicothe. They won this match and qualified to go to the District Volleyball Tournament at Marietta. Here they became District Runners-up, an indication of a very successful and well- merited finish. Coach Kemper said, “The season was dominated by tough defense and good ball control on offense. He also com- mented about the attitude of the players saying that their positive attitude and readiness for each game helped their win- ning of every game. “Desire, attitude, and pride dictated the kind of football our young men displayed, said Coach Kem- per.
