Early predictions had it that the football team would not do so well during the season. Well, the team proved different, especially in their games against Wellston and Gallipolis. In both of these special league games, Logan came out on top within the last few seconds of the game. The game against Callipolis was won by a last second touchdown by John Specht, and the game against Wellston was won by a last second field goal by sophomore Jeff Smith Both games had every Logan fan on edge during the last couple of seconds. A great team, is what Coach Biggers said about the boys he coached this year. Coach feels that 100% effort and ability were given in each game and practice by each member of the football team, and that is why it was a great team. Top left: Specht plunges for winning touchdown! RESERVE FOOTBALL The Reserve Football Team ended a fan- tastic season with a 5-0 record under the coaching of Chuck Kemper and assistant coaches Don Richardson and Les Wojcie- chowski. Coach Kemper said, “The season was dominated by tough defense and good ball control on offense. He also com- mented about the attitude of the players saying that their positive attitude and readiness for each game helped their win- ning of every game. “Desire, attitude, and pride dictated the kind of football our young men displayed, said Coach Kem- per.
