Student Council Hi-Y Basketball Dance Goddess of Love This year's Junior-Senior Prom was the most unforgettable social event of the school year. Nearly everyone attending decided that the decorations were the most striking and the most fabulous ever seen. The theme of Venus was appropriately carried out by a large statue of Venus which was surrounded by a blue-green pool. White columns lined the front of the stage. Highlighting the dance was the crowning of Miss Venus (Carolyn Oliver), who was chosen to reign as the most beautiful senior girl of 1959. David Davis, member of the senior class, paused to be photo- graphed with Miss Venus, Carolyn Oliver, whom he escorted to the prom. Mark Myers places the crown upon the smiling Miss Venus while Sandy Yarber looks on. 74 Our Coaches MARION ALLEN ictor y 76 Champs Row One: Managers J. Sorrell) C. Myers, B. Burton, T. Reynolds.
