' Qui' beautiful basketball floor was fairly littered with leaves and corn stalks. Every booth was gay with colors and lovely attractions. Costumes of every de- scription were in evidence from a stick of candy to an Eskimo. The dancing dolls were very popular young ladiesg gents of all ages visited them. The hula hula girls were striking in their straw skirts. Some wondered why they were not in a sideshow. Spooksburg maintained a waiting line of about twenty-five. Besides having Pedro stump over from our attic as a special feature, many ghosts of pre-historic times came ,along with their skulls and creaking bones to increase the wierdness. Every one, even the clowns, interviewed the crystal gazer, for she was world- famed. Three Steps Inn, afforded a quiet place for lovers and such. Fruit salad and cocoa were the specials. To cap the climax, the Syncopated Eight wailed their different strains through the evening and pepped up the laggards. From all reports it was probably the most hilarious carnival ever staged in or around Russellville. i f i li f ' u IA I X f.ff'X 'U f lf I ' A 1 X 5 x s XX Qi, 5 X 'f X li 77 had -W
