She is a delightful combination of fun and seriousness, but one must know her Well to truly appreciate her. To know her is to love her, and her acquaintance is lasting. She possesses many traits that make her a dependable and desirable Senior, The association with her as a classmate has been inspira- tional and uplifting to us all, and We feel sure that she will make a grand success when out in life's work. In no time at all we found that these virtues framed the essence of girlhood spiced with intellect, daring and rascality. This little girl won for herself the friendship of every one she met and she soon became one ot' Logan's outstanding fig- ures. Her affiliations with Bethel were so strong that by the close of school she received a degree in Campusol- ogy. Being so pleased with this success she entered Logan in her Senior year and immediately took up Post- Graduate work under the same inst1'uction. She is just enough good and just enough bad to make her the envy ot' the campus- nut said -Mary Harris. Allegro eon brio. 2. Marcia Funebre Adagio. 3. Seherzo Allegro Vivaee. 4. Finale Allegro molto. Beethoven, hoping that Napoleon Bonapart would establish 21 Republic, dedicated this Symphony to him. Disappointed in his hope?-it was not long after that he was persuaded to publish the work with the title-Hlfomposed to celebrate the memory of a great man -the heros in its widest sense. Admitting' in the first movement the strife, the battle, whether of warring races or of one man tigliting against fate. and in the Marcia Funebre-the grandest dirge ever sung-whom do we follow to the grave-the hero of the play, Napoleon? Berlioz compares the Seherzo to the solemn rites which the warriors of the Iliad celebrated at the grave of their leader,Aeontiuued in the Finale and Closing with a Hymn of Victory.
