Z 0612 jizzn suPtR:mENDE'mT JOHN HEN cguperzbfenknf ofgogan cscfoof fD1l9fr1cf To the Graduates of Logan Elm Schools: What the mind attends to, it considers: What the mind does not attend to, it dismisses: What the mind attends to continually, it believes: What the mind believes, it eventually does. This is the secret of all effective teaching and of all forms of education. What an appalling obligation and challenge to all parents, teachers and students to attend to the right things, to consider proper and just behavior, to develop sound beliefs and thus will follow responsible action. The school has the obligation of training all for a life of responsibility in relationship to the democratic realities as they exist in the home, church, community and govern- ment. It is my fervent hope that this training will be used to your best advantage. I extend to each graduate, past and present, my most sincere best wishes for happiness and success in the years that lie ahead. MZ.

C8050 7 esf gjrzh C40 af To The Class of 1968: As you leave the halls of Logan Elm, pause to look back occasionally to determine just what you learned here. Pos- sibly you benefited greatly, possibly you did not. The choice has been yours, just as the decision to lead a useful and productive life from this point on, will be yours. It is sincerely hoped that your learning has encompassed much more than the material in the textbook alone, for this is but a small part of one's education. Decency and consideration for others, honesty, ambition, responsibility, faith, and yes, common sense, cannot be learned from the printed page. In this day of rapidly changing standards and conflicting philosophies, may you resolve to forever lay hold of the ageless and unchanging values just mentioned, as a guarantee of the good life for you and yours. On behalf of the faculty and administration, we wish you Godspeed in your quest of life. G1 II ,
