As the halftime of the reserve game drew near, five queens and their escorts waited nervously to be introduced to the awaiting crowd. The first strains of the theme, Beyond the Sea, were then heard and apprehension mounted as freshman attendant, Page Miller, was escorted in by Chuck Spangler. After the crowd quieted down, Pat Keller, sophomore attendant, was escorted in by Lennie Hardman. A few minutes later, Janie Russell, junior attendant, entered with Brad l-luffines at her side. Following soon afterwards, came Norma Huffer, senior attendant, escorted by Dave Horn. Then a hushed silence hung over the excited crowd, only to be sharply broken by a tremendous sound of applause for the 1962 .Homecoming Queen, Carol Torchick, escorted by Roger Clarke, captain of the basket- ball team . After the crowning and traditional kissing of the queen, all five young ladies were escorted to their thrones . SPONSORED BY CIRCLEVILLE NEW CAR DEALERS 52
