JUNioR-SENIOR BANQUET Following all the apprehension. . .disappointment from falling decorations that took hours to arrange. . .repairing the calamities. . .applying the finish- ing touches. . .and finally observing the finished product, the Junior-Senior Banquet decorations were ready. The cool, balmy night added the distinct atmosphere necessary for a Polynesian Holiday. Entering the paradise, a perpetual flowing fountain was the first greeting followed by a refreshing tropical dream . This built us up for a tropical feast in the Polynesian dining room . After a wonderful feast and program, we went to the All County junior- Senior Prom at the coliseum . We then returned to the Island to see the movie, On the Waterfront. Our holiday was ended with an early morning breakfast. FORD FURNITURE COMPANY clRcl.Evll.l.E, OHIO , JUNIORS L ! l A highlight in the lives of all juniors is the day they finally receive their class rings. The ring is a symbol of education, a symbol of the pride which a person has in his alma mater. These rings will be cherished by the owners and admired by others for years to come. COMPLIMENTS OF HERFF JONES COMPANY 28 One of the big moments -in the junior year is the day the class rings are selected. Pictured above are three of our class officers looking over the selection of rings offered by the Herff jones Company. 7. , 7: vi ii, 'L 'f :2fQ. f s 1 i 2 P , .W 5 U' ,Q bf wi ' 54 ENE 1 is A15 T . 1 f Ls! 4 Q 2, if Q 'Q gg . f 1 Qi fs: we , yn In A ' W. - s Ky- H 4 Q A 1, U15 A ? 39' 9 1 wi Larry Baird William Bitzer f -sw mg. SUPER DUPER c1Rc1.Evll.1.E, of-no As the halftime of the reserve game drew near, five queens and their escorts waited nervously to be introduced to the awaiting crowd. The first strains of the theme, Beyond the Sea, were then heard and apprehension mounted as freshman attendant, Page Miller, was escorted in by Chuck Spangler. After the crowd quieted down, Pat Keller, sophomore attendant, was escorted in by Lennie Hardman. A few minutes later, Janie Russell, junior attendant, entered with Brad l-luffines at her side. Following soon afterwards, came Norma Huffer, senior attendant, escorted by Dave Horn. Then a hushed silence hung over the excited crowd, only to be sharply broken by a tremendous sound of applause for the 1962 .Homecoming Queen, Carol Torchick, escorted by Roger Clarke, captain of the basket- ball team . After the crowning and traditional kissing of the queen, all five young ladies were escorted to their thrones .
