No doubt it's a thriving, mod- ern city with all the comforts of home, but it's also the shopping capital of the World and a city of exciting mystery and intrigue. The tense political atmosphere and the nearness of Communist China made it all the more enticing. All these things and more made Hong Kong a port of call none of us Will ever forget. Davao, the third largest city in the Philippines and the largest on the island of Mindinao was scheduled for LOFBERG as a port visit . Here we not only had a chance to relax and see a truly unspoiled land of beauty but We also acted in the real sense as ambassadors to a foreign country. As part of our activities we played host to many Philippine dignitaries, op- ened our home for general visiting, gave a party for Philippine orphans and al- most beat the Davao championship soft- ball team.
