The LOFBERG, the TI-IOMASON, the BOLE, and the TAUSSIG had all been awarded the ASW A for demonstrated proficiency in Anti- Submarine Warfare and the Armed Forces Expe- ditionary Medal as a result of extensive duty in the vicinity of Viet Nam. A lot of time had been spent at sea, but morale had remained high and every man had done his job at a consistently high level of proficiency.
