Evan Borst DEDICATION-------- No one hos done more to further the ideals of our school than Mr. Evan Borst. He has been o good influence to the students under his guidance, and has sent them into the wor'd better fitted for the duties confronting them. It is to him that we of the Tokay Staff dedicate our 1941 annual.

GARDENS All humanity owes a debt of gratitude to the mokers of gardens. Someone has said that civilization and the garden are peculiarly akin The beauty, quiet, and utility of the garden provides man not only with food for the kitchen and cut flowers for the drawing room but with a resort of repose, a retreat of refreshment and inspiration, and a temple of worship. My hope is that each member of the 1941 graduating class will be blest throughout life with the influences of exquisite gardens. Many of the world's finest poems have been inspired by gardens. Bliss Carman, Poet Laureate of Canada, 1928, wrote the following: HEAVEN What is Heaven? Is it not Just a friendly garden Plot, Walled with stone and roofed with sun, Where the days pass one by one. Not too fast and not too slow. Looking backward as they go At the beauties left behind To transport the pensive mind. Thomos W.
