The editorial staff in selecting this theme has made a splendid gesture of friendliness. “Amu a tu vecino y te amara' ”—LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AND HE WILL LOVE THEE—is a Spanish proverb, a great favorite in Mexico, where the people are noted for friendliness. The world is in need of friendly neighbors. Nations will he friend- ly when their citizens have friendly attitudes. To have a friend one must he a friend. The ability to make and keep friends is a mark of true greatness. My wish for the 1938 graduates is that your world will he full of friends. Your world will he a much brighter one if your next door neighbors, your schoolmates, and the students and citizens of other communities are truly your friends. Then you may contribute much toward world peace and happiness by developing a friendly attitude toward peoples of other lands. “Vamos a ser buenos amigos.” Lkt Us Be Friends.
