Last Will and Testament of Class of 1947 We, the members of the Lodi High School Class of 1947 being of sound mind (?) and body, do hereby make this last will and testament. SECTION I Article 1—We, the members of the Senior Class, leave the school in a better condition than we found it. Article 2—To the members of the faculty we leave our quiet ways. Article 3—To Mr. Wood, we leave our interested and undivided attention in his government classes. Article 4—To the Juniors we leave our assembly seats and all the gum collected beneath them. Also our government books (practically new). Article 5—To the Sophomore class we give our sunny dispositions that they may liven up the school house after we leave. Article 6—To the Freshmen, we leave our ability to study hard and get along with the teachers. Article 7—To the janitor, we leave all over-looked cuds of gum, old notes, papers, candy papers, apple cores, etc., so that he may be kept busy. SECTION II Article 1—Mary Jane Bartholomai leaves her list of addresses collected over the last four years to Gloria Lutsch. May Gloria make use of them as Mary Jane has. Article 2—Don Bloomster wills his shyness to Furman Bowers. May Furman find some use for it in the future. Article 3—Emma Burkey leaves her quietness to Betty Haller so that Betty may benefit from it. Article 4—Richard Cash wills his ability to play in the ‘“Hermits’’ to anyone who can handle a trumpet as Rich does. Article 5—Robert Duck leaves his height to Junior Dague. During our Sophomore year we became more grown up and less silly. Our homeroom teacher was Mr. Williams. Richard Cash, Robert Skimin and Robert Duck entered the class. Donald Bloomster entered in our Junior year and Mr. Mosher was in charge of our home room. This year was full of excite- ment, the main events being our class play and the Junior-Senior Banquet. Our last and Senior year was here finally. We have added Alice Holmes to our class roll making twenty of us lofty, dignified Seniors. It hardly seemed possible that the twelve years had gone so fast. The Seniors were represented in everything in the school. Student Council, basketball, octet, sextet, Hermits, Dra- matic Club, etc. Miss Sechrist was our home room teacher. We have had many happy years in L. H. 8. and are sorry to leave it. But graduation day happens to the best of people. It was nice while it lasted. But it's ended—so now “good-bye.”

Article 11—Donna Moore leaves a new typewriter to the next year class with hopes that they don't break it. Article 12—Margaret Moss wills her athletic ability to Mr. Dowler with hopes he will prosper from it as she has. Article 13—Elizabeth Moss leaves her West Virginian accent to Vanda Mann. Article 14—Robert Seifert leaves his Sir Galahad manners to Ramon Weaver so that he may benefit from them. Article 15—Robert Skimin wills all his best parking places to “Curley’’ Houston; we know “Curly” will make good use of them.
