An extremely active class, its members have shown a terrific school spirit by their participation in extra curricular activities, sports, and student government. Certain personal- ities have already stepped into the limelight and the popularity ot the events sponsored and participated in by the junior class may well be indicative ot the success of their senior year. Above all, however, these juniors, under the direction of Miss Jeanne Lo Castro, have come a long way along the road to becoming better citizens who realize the privileges and duties ofa democracy. Thus they may face their final year of high school with the assurance of graduating with a record of accomplishment that they may well be proud ot. Q1 iii rl is I 6 qw fir gawk . . . ii-I MISS J. Under the direction of Mrs. Lynn Hinman, they have pre- sented a successful Sophomore Hop, and have be- come more firmly settled in various school activities. They have struggled through geometry and have had their first taste of a foreign language and now look forward to the sanctuary of being upperclass- men . . . Although having past what are perhaps the two hardest years of high school, in which many have had their first taste of being regarded as adults, these students are but half way through and many new and enlightening experiences await them. Under the direc- tion ot Mrs. Mildred Back Kron- ish, the choral department began their musical year with an inspir- ing Thanksgiving assembly which was soon followed by a rendition of When the Christ Child Came, a modern Christmas cantata. Be- cause ot the success of last year's presentation of The Student . Prince , the concert choir re- turned to the operatic stage to highlight their year's work with two nightly performances of The Desert Song. To round out the musical calendar the entire choral department assembled to present their traditional Eastern Assembly which upheld the excellent repu- tation they had built for them- selves at various Parent Teachers Association and special request performances. z U Q i A CAPELLA CHOIR Mrs Mildred Back Kronish Director Front Row D Sobolewski M Chapman C Herman M Arkin S Rostan Second Row B Lindsay C Orlando C Gianni L Plerri G Marsh R Miller C Piccoli J Mosier Back Row E Simonelli A Soares G Mastrelli A Miller B Yura J Mosier B Hanlon P Kers en M La Corte H Crowther CONCERT CHOlR+Mrs. Mildred Back Kronish, Director Front Row: T.
