Tribute LTI-IOUGH America is deep in the flood waters of war, and sacrifice and suffering are imminent, the Class of l9-43, in spite of many handicaps, has seen fit to continue the tradition established by previous classes-publish Magic Casements , lt is fitting and proper that the members of the Class of i943 think in terms of democracy and the struggle to preserve it, and the necessary blood, sweat, and tears before the struggle is finally concluded. From every city, village, and hamlet in the country, our youth has been called to the colors. Every school in our country has made some contribution to our great cause. Therefore, with a humble feeling of pride and a mind and heart ever-alert to the tremendous sacrifices of these men who are in our armed forces, we, the members of the Class of l943, dedicate Magic Casements to all our members of the faculty, our graduates, and under- classmen who proudly wear the uniform of any of the armed services of the United States.
