Each diploma is an invitation to join the world beyond the realm of home. We seniors owe our education to many people but one group deserves more credit than others-our parents. To show our appreciation for their guidance, sacrafices, advice interest and love we dedicate this annual to them. But oh for the touch of a vanished hand, and the sound of a voice that is still IN MEMORY They played the game of basketball and they played the game of life. They lived; we are living. We have rules and we have fouls. All to often we call out to life's referee, Time! When the final buzzer sounds will we be able to meet them in the locker room and say, We played the game as well as you did. 3 SCHOOL BOARD First Row, Left to Right: Parker; Foss; Small; Cummins-Chairman; LaForge; Hager. Second Row, Wham: McCo-mas; Whiteman. 9 4 FACULTY Elmer Main Superintendent SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE As I complete my second year in the Lodge Grass Schools, I find more and more the challenges that the students and teachers are facing require maximum effort. The intricate process of coordinating cultures curricula, and current activities seem to me to be an important factor in taking up the challenge. The progress that we make does not come in giant strides, however, it is progress. This means that we are not going backwards. The fields that you choose for your life work, becomes increasingly important as you continue to mature. The years that you spent in high school should be your formative years. Time which is used mainly for molding your course for the future. If you have wasted five minutes of this time you will never get it back. Therefore, time is one of the most valuable things in the world. I have thoroughly enjoyed knowing each of you. I have gained valuable lessons from the experiences which we shared. I hope I have helped you gain something of value. My message, then, is to take up the challenges that confront you now and use them to make a better world for all of us. 6 Elmer M. Main PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE To the students of Lodge Grass High School: I would like to use this mean of communication to express the gratitude of my wife and I to you for the wonderful three years we have spent at Lodge Grass. It is an experience that we shall always cherish. Lodge Grass High School is the symbol of the future. Students must always bear in mind that the work of the present produces the genius of tomorrow. The staff at Lodge Grass High School has attempted to bring the best of today's knowledge to you, the students. For many this will be their last year of formal education. They must remember that learning will continue in life provided they strive to better themselves as individuals. A high school education is only the beginning mile stone of life. There are many more for those who are willing to take the high road. The rewards likewise are many. For those students who endeavor to seek a higher education, it will be their responsibility to develop their talents so that they may contribute to the betterment of man and his environment. 7 Mrs. Shirley Boley Freshman English Miss Patricia Crowe High School Math and Sth Grade Math Mrs. Helene Miklovich English and Girls P.
