CLASS MOTTO “LET THE ROPES OF THE PAST RING THE BELLS OF THE FUTURE” Bill Stops President John Clawson Vice-President Deandrea Davis St. Council Liz Whiteman Treasurer Theresa Jeffers Secretary In the fall of 1961, we entered high school numbering forty-six. Many of us started right off the bat and got in the full swing of high-school. Our Homecoming King and Queen candidates were Sharon Stimpson and Burton Pretty On Top. Our Sophomore year had narrowed down to a mere forty but the school realized we existed more and more because members of our class were getting honors and awards quite readily. Our Junior year for us was the best of all. We numbered thirty-five this year. The Junior class seemed the best of the classes that year for our Homecoming King and Queen candidates won as did our candidates for Best All Around, who happen to be Candy Pease and Tony Pease for Homecoming and Candy Pease and Bill Yellowtail for the Best All Around awards. Bill Yellowtail was also picked as the best-athlete. The Senior year is just mid-way and we cannot give you an accurate remembrance so we will just say the best class in the history of Lodge Grass graduates in 1965. 15
