THIRD ROW: Vernon Whiteman, Wayne Not Afraid, Greeley Bear Ground, Lorretta Lynde, June Wiley, Mary Williams. Theresa Shaw Editor Nicki Endicott Ass't-editor Mr. Richard McCartny Advisor DEDICATION TO OUR PARENTS We, the Senior Class of 1964, humbly dedicate this annual to our parents. When we accept the high school diploma that is presented to us, we accept a passport into that world beyond our homes. We know this goal could not have been reached without the care and guidance of our parents. As we strive to establish our place in society, we will recall the words of advice you have given. They will be like a hand to cling to when the obstacles in life loom before us. We will work diligently to fullfill the accomplishments you expect, for it is our way you have given through our tender and formative years. 2 The Senior Class of '64 immm Mr. Milton Molsberry-----Superintendent The record that you make in school will have a tremendous influence on your future. A good record is essential for those who plan to enter college, business, and all occupations. You must accept the responsibility of your own success. You may find a multitude of reasons for your particular state of success or failure, however, in each instance you have no choice but to work for the future and to avail yourselves of the opportunities that present themselves. Congratulations to the Seniors who will be graduated with the Class of 1964. Our best wishes are with you. We hope that your experience here at the Lodge Grass High School has been both profitable and enjoyable. We hope that the record you have made for yourself will permit you a freedom of choice in the future. 4 Members of the education profession share with the home the responsibility to aide each student to develop his endowments. Educators not only convey knowledge and stimulate a lasting spirit of inquiry, but also assist in the formulation of worthy personal goals and provide an understanding and appreciation of representative government and democratic human relations. The effectiveness of education is enhanded by the cooperative relationships of the educator with the home and agencies charged with the responsibility for the welfare of youth. Congratulations to the graduating seniors of 1964. May each of you have gained the knowledge made possible by your cooperation with your faculty, parents and community during the completion of your first step in formal education. Hugh L. The Senior year was spent in looking forward to graduation. 12 We, the Senior Class, being of sound mind and body will the following possessions to our beloved underclassmen. C. for the ten-year reunion of the class of 1964 we see alvin Yarlott coming in for a casual landing in his private jet. Alvin, as we all know is the first man ever to set foot on the moon. A black limosine pulls up and Jon Standish steps from the driver's seat to greet us. He is head of the Secret Service. He tells us that Gary Stevenson, the youngest president the United States has ever had, is waiting anxiously at the White House, along with his wife and Alice Bradley and her husband, the Vice-President of the United States. At the White House, we see Judy Seggerman and Robert Bends out on the lawn, Judy is demonstrating the technique that has made her the woman golf champion of the world. Robert seems interested, but his main interest is with his ranch in Texas. Next we see Nicki Endicott and Oot Toineeta who are co-owners of the Little Horn State Bank. They arrive in a 1974 Corvette, followed closely by Theresa and Vernon Whiteman, in their Thunderbird. They have recently drilled a new oil well on their big cattle spread near the old home town. Wayne Not Afraid and Greely Bear Ground run up. They are busy keeping in shape for the 1975 Summer Olympics. Penny powers arrives with her agent, Darrell Scalpcane. She now resides in Hollywood, and she recently received an academy award for her performance in her latest movie. Lavonne Little Light arrives with her two children and her husband who is a professor at Wyoming University. Mary Noblett and June Wiley arrive together, for some odd reason. It must be a family connection, because Mary is now a house-wife and June is the Secretary of the NRCA. Mary Williams and Pat Mitchell arrive from South America where they own the most modern hotel in the world in the most modern city in the world, Brazillia. Last, but not least is I, Lorretta Lynde. I just managed to get away from the ad agency on Wall Street for the reunion, but I have to return right away. They express the philosophical outlook of their authors, which may vary from the idealistic and religious to the naturalistic and materialistic. They are also determined by the socio-political purposes, class organization, and the economic level of society. Finally, they represent the contemporary attitude to children and young people. In general they are concerned with developing a concept of the good life and the methods of preparing the younger generation to enter into active membership in the society to which they belong.
