Dennis Reid Jeppeson September 15, 1947—July 5, 1962 We humbly dedicate this book to the memory of Dennis Reid Jeppeson who was a member of the class of 1965. 2 MILTON MOLSBERRY, SUPT.-------Senior Class Sponsor Grandforks, N.D., Ph.B., 1951 Graduate Work, M.S.U., M.E., 1956 One of the most pleasant experiences in life is looking back at a job well done. Our student body, their parents, and our faculty can look back at the school year 1962-1963 with a great deal of satisfaction. The tasks have been well done. We can only hope that the year has been pleasant as well as profitable. Our business is education, the job is learning, the product is a better America. Nothing can ever replace the knowledge and skills of the individual and these are best acquired in good attendance and hard work at school. A special congratulations to those seniors who will be graduated in May. They have shown the perserverance and industry to complete their first great hurdle. We hope that this will give them courage to face future assignments. 3 HUGH ARTIST, PRIN.----------University of Iowa, M.S., 1930 Coe College, B.A., 1931 Graduate Work, U. of Wyoming, 1960 I wish to congratulate the seniors who have worked hard and have achieved the honor of receiving a high school diploma. May it mean only a stepping stone to you as you climb ever upward and onward in life. To those underclassmen who are remaining with us for a short time, I wish you continued success in preparing for a democratic way of living. May the time spent here be such that you can always look back and say, We thank you, Lodge Grass. Hugh Artist Principal CLERK DOLORES MURDOCK 4 ELMER O. FREEDLE, JR. Guidance Counselor richard f. The most memorable event of that first year was of course, initiation. In I960, when we were sophomores, we initiated the new freshmen. We were a class numbering twenty-one. The various extra-curricular activities kept most of us very busy. As juniors our main project was to honor the seniors with the traditional Banquet and Prom. We carried out the theme Southern Serenade in our decorations. That year our membership totaled twenty. Finally in 1963, we have realized that our high school days are nearly over. Even though our class numbers but seventeen, we have not decreased our accomplishments. Each of us shall go our separate way after graduation, but many pleasant memories of our days here will remain with us forever.
