SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE The Secretary of Labor says' --getting a job and succeeding in it depends more and more on the amount of education a young person has, and on how well he has used his time in preparation. The work here at school may seem far removed from the practical applications of knowledge and skill in the world of work, however, we can never be absolutely certain which bits of knowledge or which skills we will need. As young people we are obligated to prepare ourselves to the limit of our individual capacities. The lazy and the indifferent will surely be left behind. 3

To Mrs. Genevieve Fitzgerald; we, the annual staff of 1960-61, wish to dedicate our Golden Eagle Annual. We feel it is a great pleasure to have someone so nice and wonderful to dedicate our annual to. Mrs. Fitzgerald has been a friend, teacher and companion to each and every one of us. We used to think of English as the tough” subject, but she has brought it to life for us and has made it very interesting and a lot of fun. As a class sponsor, she has helped us ac- 1961 GOLDEN EAGLE DEDICATED TO MRS. GENEVIEVE FITZGERALD complish many things. She feels it is necessary to prepare us for college; and we are certainly thankful for that, because many of us are planning on going to college after high school. She has also helped the ones of us who aren’t going on to college, as she has given us more confidence in ourselves. There aren't words big enough to express our thanks. We will just say. HATS OFF TO YOU, MRS. FITZGERALD ! ! !
