We can very well say Ralph is a friend to each and every student, along with the faculty, and everyone else who knows him. He would do anything for anyone and that is proved by his works every day. Ralph has been with us all four years of our high school career. In fact we are very pleased to say he has been with our school since 1950. He, of course is our School Clerk, but he doesn't stop at the jobs involved in that alone, he does, well, practically everything but the janitor work. We wish Mr. Knight all the success and happiness in the world, we would also like to say . . . Thanks for everything Ralph;;; 2 ADMINISTRATION FACULTY TEACHERS ROLAND E. WESTWOOD Jr. 14 CLASS HISTORY Four years ago, thirty-six of the Seniors of 1960, walked through the Lodge Grass High School door as Green Freshies. We were quite sure that our class was The Best. However we were taken down a little by the initiation that was poured on us by the Sophomores. We enjoyed the many school parties sponsored by the various classes and organizations. All in all we had a year full of thrills and spills on our new adventures as high school students. Our Sophomore Class began with an enrollment of thirty-three. During this year we got our chance to put the new Freshmen in their place by initiating them. Also in this year we took first prize on our Homecoming float. School parties and activities made this another very enjoyable year. As Juniors we had an enrollment of thirty-two. Maria Mapes came to our class from Texas and Janet Artist reigned from Wyoming. Our largest social events of the year were the Prom and Banquet, which were both a big success. Our Prom Theme was Oriental Gardens, and our Banquet Theme was Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. As Juniors we won second place in the Homecoming Parade. Our Junior Play His Name was Aunt Nellie was among our various activities throughout the year. Laura Westwood was elected Homecoming Queen and Gary Gordon was elected King. Judy Wiley was chosen Best All Around Girl. At last we reached the stage of being the mighty upper-classmen . . . SENIORS . . . Joining us this year was Betty Ellis from Hardin and Garland Seggerman from Miles City. The enrollment remained thirty-two. We are reaching the stage where our education means something to us . . . and we have that desire to learn as much as we can and reach the highest goal possible. Our class motto Finished-yet just begun. Our class colors are blue and silver. This year the Juniors will present us with the Prom and Banquet. Our Senior Play It's a great life. turned out to be a big success. Now our biggest anticipation is Graduation. As we each go our separate ways we will have fond memories of our High School years. The hope we have fulfilled the wishes of our parents, teachers, and friends. To all of them we owe a big THANK YOU!!! The student receives one credit for teaching a full period each day. The work of the student teacher is to assist the teacher in correcting papers, giving some students special help, and taking care of some classes of their own. This job is one of choice and its purpose is to show the high school students a little about teaching besides being help to the regular teacher. BEST ALL-AROUND 60 PROM OF 1959 61 SENIOR CLASS PLAY 62 Really, Mrs. Lenhard 'Oooh, He said he loved1 - od W CLASS OF ’60 MEETS 70 Most of us are here at Jimmy Brown's ranch awaiting the arrival of the rest of the class. The first event of the day will be a rodeo with Rose Blaine as the queen. Other participants in the event will be two of the top cow hands at the Brown ranch. Wayne Murdock and Ronald Bomar. We have just received word from Kathi Rassmussen, the teletype operator at the Denver Municipal Airport, that George Bradley, now assistant janitor of the Columbia University of Law, and Garland Seggerman, owner of the Tandy Leather-craft Co. will be here on the next plane from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pilot of the plane is Chuck Green and the stewardess is Judy Wiley. We just learned that Janet Artist and Sarah Cooper will not be present at this meeting because Janet is on the trail of a notorious criminal and Sarah is assisting her on this case. Now arriving is Larry Hughes, music director at the University of Denver. Second on the list of entertainment is a style show. Betty Ellis has styled all of the girls hair, who are taking part in the show. Laura Westwood has designed the outfits for the girls. Naturally, before the day is over Gary Gordon, the coach of L.G.H.S. and his assistant Joe Cummins will organize a basketball or football game. Beverly Moore, still working for her degree at Brigham Young University, will be in charge of caring for all the children while the entertainment is going on. Oh, Oh! There seems to be some trouble. Here comes Claudia Clanin, little Jimmy Brown's tutor. It seems he has swallowed a safety pin. But Alan Metcalfe, a local doctor, is going to see that everything is taken care of. Joan Tschirgi, who has just completed a course in commercial arts, has just arrived and told us that the last three, Karen Chatham, Diane Medicine Crow, and Hazel Faught, all Registered Nurses, will be here shortly. Urban Bear, Ronnie Eastman, Melvin Left Hand, and Everett White-man will not be with us today because they are all in the armed forces and were unable to get a leave. With all the people that are able to be present we will begin the entertainment of the day. 64 ADVERTISERS PROFESSIONAL Attorney's at Law . . . Dr. L. L. Kitts Opt. . . Dr. R. L.
