The main job of a Clerk is to solve the numerous financial difficulties of a school, and to act as Secretary of the School Board. Pictured above is Ralph Knight who has been Clerk at Lodge Grass for nine years. The School Board meets with Mr. Molsberry, our Superintendent, to work out the problems of our school. These problems are given a great deal of thought and discussion so our school can run smoothly. Pictured at left are Uhl Bond, Ma-lena Jackson, Mr. Molsberry, Jack Owens, and Ralph Knight. Just as the Student Council solves the problems of our school, the City Council makes laws and solves the problems of the city. Pictured from L. to R. Bob Hanley, Pat Nichols, Charles Carr, Harold Green, Bob Springfield, Albert George, and Datus Chandler. 5

SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE The primary obligation of the teaching profession is to guide youth, and adults in the pursuit of knowledge and help them to become happy, useful, self-supporting citizens. The ultimate strength of the nation lies in the social responsibilities, economic competence and moral strength of the individual American. The teaching staff of this school believes in this code and makes the utmost attempt to fulfill this idea. However, the student and parent must realize that we are here to guide not to force or drive. 4
