Text from Pages 1 - 88 of the 1957 volume:

THE Senior Class of Lodge Grass High School The To the people of the Lodge Grass and Wyola communities, whose broad vision and loyal support have made possible what our school system is today and what is promises to become tomorrow, we, the Senior Class, are proud and honored to dedicate our 1957 annual. Superintendent E. L. Moyer Mr. Moyer is Superintendent of Lodge Grass High School and is a Senior Class Sponsor. He received his B.A. and B.E. Degrees from the University of Washington and M.E. Degree from the Montana State University. SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE A teacher has something to give his students. He cannot give by trying to get down to their level or just be being a buddy to them. No teacher can enter fully into a student's world. He must always be and can only be, a teacher, not a buddy and another child. The teacher has something to give, something to pass on, among other things a set of values and standards. Students will accept discipline and standards from a teacher acting as a teacher, but not from one whom they regard as another student. 4 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL SEATED, left to rights DeWitt Dillon, President; Dale Gibson, Vice-President; Marian Miller, Secretary-Treasurer; Ann Pease; Laura Westwood, News Reporter; Lorraine Overturf; Pauline Lix; Kenneth Liming; Bill Fitzgerald.
